The camera ( powershot A520 by canon) will not alllow me to take a picture or download the images (it says there are "no images". I purchased another card and it works fine! I would give this software a try:

and be more vigilant about backing up your pictures. Flash memory can corrupt at any time. Good Luck.

First of all, do not save any new file to camera's memory card.

Take out memory card, and connect it to computer using a card reader. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in Windows Explorer.
Download asoftech photo recovery software
http://www.asoftech.com/apr/
Install and open the photo recovery software, select the memory card, and click 'Start' button.

When you take a picture, camera shows memory card error

These cameras are on the list of the ccd problems.
Here is a link to the site you may need. Canon will repair it for free if it is the ccd problem. Note that they will pay for shipping both ways as well if it is the ccd problem. Call them on the toll free number.

I need to purchase this memory car and don't know where to get it

Don't bother with a Vivitar Card (i'm not even sure they make them). Buy an SD Card from a decent brand like SanDisk, Kingston or PNY. A 512MB card will store about 200 photos with your camera. I'd recommend a 1/2gb card. More photos and can be found for peanuts these days.

Camera or memory card "CARD FULL" error

Check to see if in your settings you are putting the pictures onto the memory card or the cameras internal memory. If there is no internal memory, then I guess that's no help. Also check to see if the card is write protected (a little switch on the side of it).

KINGSTON 4GB MEMORY SD CARD

Check if your camera can support a 4G card. Some don't support than 2GB. if it supports, re-insert the card.
PS. If you have a card reader. Formatting once from your computer can help.

Memory card error

Take the card out of the camera, and re-insert it. See if you get the same error. If so, it has likely been corrupted. Reformatting it may correct the error, but you will lose whatever was on it, unfortunately.

(Also, if you have another reader, like what most PC's have on the front of them, give it a shot - there's a chance it's the camera, and not the card.

Samsung digimax 130 camera memory error

If memory card is full, just try to delete one picture and try to take a picture and check if it will be saved in the memory card.

There is a Delete All option.

Or if you want to, you may format the memory card and the pictures will be deleted.
