I have a lexmark 1200 series printer and have bought a new computer and therefore need to install the printer. The installation cd I have is damaged. I was wondering if i could install it without the cd

Please visit the Lexmark website to download and install the Lexmark X1200 Printer Driver on your computer. Select your operating system > click on "FILTER" > click on the driver under Recommended Downloads > download and execute the file. Simply follow the instructions on your computer screen to complete the installation.

frist of all u have to do this remove your printer from the control pannal go in add remove program remove your printer from there

then put your printer cd come with printer do not on your printer cd will be auto run then insall software during the installation your computer tell u power on your printer then u have on your printer power u will fienshed the setup

uninstall the old driver you installed

unplug printer connection to PC (USB Cable)

restart PC

Install the software using the new CD

Follow the instructionon CD.

before end of installation it will ask you to connect the printer

Please go to the link below then download yoru driver on your computer. Once you have it on the computer just doubleclick the file to run it. That should install the printer. If in case you still have a problem please dont hesitate to reply back.

I think you need to press on the (Have a Disk) button and install your printer cd - which came with the package - into the CD-Drive

when you open your CD-Directory, the needed info file will be automaticlly selected, all you need to do is pressing (open) button and then (next) from the printer installing wizard.

Have you downloaded a "driver" for the printer. If not, search for "Lexmark 1200" free driver downloads. Or go to "control panel" and click on "add new hardware" and follow the onscreen instructions. Try this first and if not work, then do the search.

Yes there are drivers for the Lexmark 1200 series available on the Lexmark.com Website. If you upgraded your PC to Vista or installed the drivers from CD you should uninstall the printer drivers and download and install the Vista drivers .

I purchased a lexmark 1200 series all in one printer and cannot locate the cd that came with it. Is there a way to install it without the cd? I tried but it says can't find hardware.

I had this same problem...drove me crazy for a week. Called the geek squad at Best Buy and they mentioned something about a"patch" (which I had no idea what that meant) on the website of the printer. I went to Lexmark website, and selected 1200 series and windows vista (which is what's installed on my computer) A page came up to install a driver that made the two compatible and it worked!!!
