I have a Fujifilm A900 camera, and I purchased a 8GB SD extreme III Memory card. The problem is it dosen't recognize it. I was in hopes that there might be a down load for the camera so as to be able to use the 8GB SD memory card. Is ther such a thing? Dean

The A330 uses xD Picture Cards, which top out at 2GB. Your 8GB card is some other type (most likely SDHC) which will not work in the A330.

Hello, it's quite possible your LG Viewty doesn't support SDHC cards...only SD cards. If it's bigger than 2GB then it's NOT an SD card...but a SDHC one (The HC stands for high capacity) There's quire a difference between the 2 types.
You could check the spec. of your LG thing to see if SDHC cards are supported.

Hi

The Samsung S730 digital camera will work with 2Gb Secure Digital (SD) cards without an issue. If you want to go with a higher capacity card you can also use 4Gb and 8Gb SDHC cards.

I read the following spec for your camera: Recording Media Internal Flash Memory 64MB Video/Image
SD/SDHC Up To 32GB Video/Image
So, I think that an 8 GB SD card should work.

Try another capacity and brand to make it work.

SD card up to 2GB, or SDHC card up to 8GB.

If your camera is indeed an SD200, am sorry to say an 8GB SDHC will not work in this camera. The camera will fail to recognize it, and will do this by giving various problems as you've run into. The overall problem is that the camera was designed before the SDHC format came out (SDHC cards although the exact same in appearance are different in format than standard SD cards). The largest size card that the SD200 will recognize is a 2GB standard SD card.

I looked over the manual and I didn't see anything about using it as a "webcam". however, you can take videos with the camera and uplaod those to your computer using either the memory stick or a USB cord. hope that helps:)
