System Recovery. I have a Dell Demension E510. My graphics card needed to be changed so I brought it to someone to change it. I use to be able to do a complete system recovery, but since he changed it , I have not been able to access that. It has something that says backup wizzard. That was not on htere before he replaced the card. So I assume he added it. Is there any way to access system restore know ?

I have Windows Xp Home Edition.. I have done it once before. I tapped on Ctrl & F10. It opened up that partition. And I did the recovery. But now I have Backup Wizard, Which I never had before so I know it was something he did when he changed the graphics card. I am furious. I know how to do the system recovery, but it won't open up that partition.

I have done a recovery before by Tapping Ctrl and F10, because that's what it said to do. I did the recovery with no problem. Then last year , my graphics card went out. I brought it to someone for repair. He changed the card and added all kinds of stuff I did not want. I just noticed that I have backup wizard, which I never had before and I can not open the recovery partition. I am furious.

Hi,

Try holding down Ctrl and tap F11 on system restart see if that gets you into the hidden partition.

Sounds like it could be a graphics card problem problem is it's integrated so part of your motherboard unless you have installed a graphics card.If you have a graphics card in it take it out plug your monitor into the other graphics port and enable on board graphics in your BIOS/ integrated peripherals by pressing F12 key,..if it now works you know your graphics card is broke. If you havn't a graphics cardin it your motherboard needs replacing.

Ati 9500 pro family install issues

sometimes in the bios you have to switch it over from one bus port to another being it already came with the nvidia card as onboard im guessing that's not the case...best advice put the new card in and make sure the most recent drivers are installed... when you put a new card in your tower it automatically reads it jus needs the drivers...so you can have all the benefits of using the card...when you put the card in did the screen come on at all? and was your resolution changed?
