on the topshelf of the dishwasher there are 2 lots of slide wheels . these are to set the shelf at different heights they should be on the lowest wheels to give you the maximum distance between the bottom tray and the spinning arm
First check - ensure that the jets at the end of the spinner blade are not blocked. Check that the spinner is not siezed by turning it by hand, other than a cracked or disconnected pipe, there can not really be another reason for the spinner not rotating (if the bottom one rotates).
chances are there are either dishes that are too high or utensils dropping down in the way. Adjust the height of the racks to accommodate your large dinner plates.. also spin them by hand and see if the spin easily.. if not could be several problems.. also clean the filters in the bottom of the dishwasher. Remove the arms and check for blocked jets.. I found rice in my jets. Rice should be rinsed off the plates first... many people have rice issues.
Make sure that the spray bar when lifted by the water pressure is NOT hitting the dish rack OR has excessive friction. Test by manually lifting and turning.
Also the jets must exit at an angle to provide the torque.
Clean the filter at the bottom of the tub. If it is dirty or clogged the water pressure may not be strong enough to spin the top arm. Make sure also the there is nothing blocking the holes of the spinner arm. If the filter and arm are clear then the pump may be failing.
Try twirling the spinner by hand to see if it is binding. If it looks ok then there could be something plugging the water passage to the spinner. If you have access to a water hose you could run water into that verticle passage pipe and see if there is an obstruction. If so it can be taken apart for cleaning.
the manifold in the back of the dishwasher needs to come out. you can either pop it all the way out it only undo it halfway if your arm is small enough.. there are either 2 tension clips or 2 screws holding it to the top and back. if you undo the top of the manifold and pull it down you should be able to slide the new part in place. the plastic push pin goes on top of the manifold and the spinner goes on the other side. it may be a little difficlt to push the 2 together..
Solution - there are 2 sets of rollers about 2 inches apart. You just click off the stoppers at the end of the sliding arms on the top shelf, take out the rack and put it back onto the higher set of rollers!!!
