Igniters sense flame temperature, and if the fan cools the temp sensor down, your cooktop thinks the flame has gone out, so it clicks to reignite it.

You need to clean the sensor with steel wool so its very clean check sensor connections . If it is still not working you could change sensor also check out the pressure switch .

I believe this code is ignition failure.
Turn power off and after 20 seconds turn power on with thermostat calling for heat. Vent blower should come on first. After a bit igniter should lite up. You should hear click noise of gas valve open up. If igniter does lite and you hear click noise, flame should come on for a few seconds minimum. If igniter doesn't lite and you hear click noise from gas valve, igniter is bad. If flame lites and then goes out, flame sensor probably needs cleaned. Both igniter and flame sensor are in metal plate under burners. Igniter has 2 wire going to it and flame sensor has one wire. If you think it is flame sensor you can remove with taking it out with 1 1/4" hex screw. Flame sensor will have white film on it if it needs cleaned, clean with steel wool or a dollar bill. If it isn't weither of these it is gas valve or circuit board.

This clicking noise would be an indication that the burner is 'burnt out'. Burners have individual ports that release individual flames to create one big flame.

If the burner has a hole in it or the burner's internal baffles are burnt out the burner will make a 'popping' or 'clicking' noise.

Also, heat makes metals expand and when metal expands it makes a clicking noise. The increase in flame could be because the burner has a large hole in it or the holes are increasing in size as they expand, thus throwing a larger flame.

Light burner the same way you did before. When flame is present turn the knob down to "medium" level. Flame should stay on and clicking should stop. Adjust flame accordingly.

Sounds like a flame rod issue or the flame is not getting to it in time. The flame rod is located either far right or far left in the burner box and has only one wire going to it. It should be in line with the flame on a burner. The computer allows only a second or two for the all burners to lite and to get to the flame rod. Check the flame travel from burner to burner. You may have to clean the burners, the flame tray to each burner and the flame rod. Also check any electrical connection at the flame rod, circuit board and the grounds to the furnace cabinet.

open the top of your unit so that you can see into the burner box
what your looking for should be an orange wire that leeads up to a metal rod
that metal rod should be in the way of the flame when unit is on
this is your flame ground,,, or more commonly known as the flame sensor,,, take this out and goive it a good brush with some steel wool
and reassemble,,
this should clear up you problem
