Re: My Device Says it Has Music but it Doesnt Because...
Have you tried the reset button? I have had some problems with my Opal and so far pressing the reset button on the back and then plugging it back into the P.C. has rebooted the player and it works fine.

In itunes click your device your using (by default in version 8+ the toolbar on the left click your device, under the category devices.) and then click the music tab and check to make sure the music is ordered to sync with itunes.
When you connect the opal a window should pop up and on your media player on music an icon says opal. Click it and then click music. The songs in your opal show. Right click and press delete or remove from list.

What version of windows media player do you have? if you dont have the most recent one try to upgrade it to WMP11...if that doesnt solve the problems unintall the device from device manager and try to reinstall back again..the device will be listed under device manager with exclamation mark if it doesnt install properly...what operating system do you have? do you have service pack 2?
You need to change to mode so that the device is recognized as a regular USB device. This will give you access to all the files on the thing. See this site for more info:

Basically, you need to go to you device manager. Find the OPAL device under Portable Devices. Hit properties. Select Update Driver. Manually select the driver from the list and use the USB Storage Device driver. This should fix most of your delete and creation problems.
