My gold star ac is staying hot

I am not aware of the age of your AC but presume that you have to get the compressor checked for the start up current, the pumping, check for gas leak .You could start by cleaning the filters for clogging, the condensers by pressure water spraying. If still there is no result then our indication will point to the compressor assmbly. if compressor capacitor is faulty replace.
