Question about Bosch Dishwashers

Bosch SHU3322UC-U11 built-in dishwasher

Our Bosch dishwasher recently fried the controller and I replaced it with an OEM controller. Now the "power scrub plus" and "clean" lights come on but it won't do anything else. I've tried recycling the power and unplugging and reconnecting the controller to no avail. I'm hoping someone has access to the troubleshooting/tech manual and can tell me what this means or can point me in the right direction on what to check. I can make the pump run by lifting up on the float if that gives a clue as to what its doing.

Okay, I don't know for sure what fixed it, but it's working fine now. It was either trimming the the little plastic things that stick out next to the switch levers, I cut them off, or it was removing and reinstalling the controller. Either way, it works fine now.

check for leaks where the the top rack plugs into the rear. it might not be sealing. If your unit has the ability to change the top rack height check in the other position and see if it works. In my Samsung (Bosch in disguise) model The tube to the top rack plugs into one of two holes in the rear, depending which rack position I use. Something covers the hole not in use. Bosch uses two seperate pumps for washing and draining. So I don't think the pump could go partially bad. (This happens in other brands when the solenoid gets stuck between pump out and recirculate)

SOURCE: Bosch dishwasher power light flashing Water

It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors or feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET/PUMP MOTOR/DRAIN to work when it is commanded .If this does not happen then the voltage at these points must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage/drive from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.

So a voltage check is most important to find the fault and must be probed.

If the water flows then the flow should be good, if not the inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the inlet of the water line. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor. The water pressure must be good and the spraying must be seen to be good. If there is low pumping or pressure then the spray arms will not turn around to inject with pressure. If so the pump must be checked for clogging.

Finally after the wash the drain valve will be activated, the water is allowed to come in to rinse and then finally the drain valve/pump activated so as to drain off all the water.

Make sure that a fault in any of the cycle will relate to the specified action, so check the command from the program module and then the executing device be it the valve or motor or pump.

Check the sensor of the liquid at the bottom of the dishwasher. Sometimes that is the cause of the fault.

Bosch SHU3036UC/U11 dishwasher does not stop filling with water

Hi,
It sounds as if the main program board has developed a fault - as it should come to a complete stop. The fact it kept the water valve open with the door open is a serious fault- so I would have it checked before using it again.

Most machines have a water-stop feature - so if it develops a leak - it will shut off the water. This clearly didn't happen.

make certain that there is water coming into the d/w if so and you are sure that the solenoid on the water valve energizes then its possible that the strainer on the water valve might be clogged if so its going to take a bit of work to remove and clean the strainer and reasemble it are you confident .
