HP Color LaserJet CM2320nf MFP Envelope wrinkles

I just bought a new HP Color LaserJet CM2320nf MFP for my small office. One of the first things I tried is printing envelopes. I've attempted to print them from both the multipurpose tray and the drawer. The envelope comes out wrinkled from both locations. It is a No. 10 envelope which the printer says it handles, and it is totally flat before I insert it.

On alot of printers when you print envelopes theres a back door on the printer to prevent the curling or wrinkles. Just open the back door when doing envelopes.

Best of luck and have a happy and safe 4th of July weekend!

Envelopes print crooked

A decent printer should print a #10 envelope without a problem. If this model won't do so, return it and get another printer. Suggest Epson or Canon -- AVOID HP printers.

Envelopes get wrinkled while printing

The problem is likely the envelopes.
OK, I'll explain what is happening first.
If you think about it this way: The envelope has air in it, not alot but some, as it moves into the fuser "the heater" the air heats up and expands. If the envelope does not have enough "leaks" for the hot air to escape it creates a bubble in the envelope that gets squashed as it moves thru the fuser giving you the wrinkles.
Does that make sense?
Most envelopes (if you have ever looked closlely at them) have small openings in the corners that let the air escape.
Sometimes the opening are to small or not there at all.
Yes the heat can also seal the envelope. Usually not if you are using laser specific envelopes.

Now that was a long winded way of saying try new envelopes made for laser printers.
Hope this helps
