First check to make sure that you have cold water coming into the machine. Most of these machines only have a cold rinse. The machine will fill up during the wash cycle if you have the temperature set to either warm or hot, however If there is no cold water coming in for the rinse the timer will not advance and the cold side of your water valve is bad - replace the valve.

It sounds to me like its a water pump problem i think you will find your water pump is not working. if the washer cant drain all its water it will not advance further than that as the machine must detect that all the water has been pumped out before it will start to spin. thus protecting the agitator from snapping.

My roper top loading machine washes but will not advance to rinse it fills up but drains immediately after.

Hi,

Please power cycle your washer (ie unplug power for 2 minutes before powering on again). Then, you can move your dial counterclockwise (or opposite the direction that you currently turn your cycle-setting dial) by 90 degrees. Then, attempt a full cycle again. This should help somewhat reset your cycle functions so that it works properly.

Thank you.

I have a Kenmore top load, high efficiency, low water washer. How to get to rinse and spin ?

May be a bad door switch. Washers usually let you open the machine (top load) while in wash, but not for rinse and spin because of the high speed. If the door switch is bad, it may think the door is always open and therefore wont go past the wash cycle.

Frigidaire FWT647GHSO when it gets to rinse first rinse cycle, it doesn't stop filling with water. It won't agitate or spin. It works well in the wash cycle, agitates and spins and advances

probably you've got something blocking the water pump from doing its job properly so check that the water pump is free running emptying all the water if not then there is a blockage in the pump normally ist a button, paper clip or other debris out of a trouser pocket eric

F&P GWL11 Washer Stops at rinse - Error Code 37

I hate to say it but it sounds like the controller. I used to have one that had a similar problem that was fixed with a diverter and a controller. Another year or two later it was doing the same thing, so we just replaced it. Just a warning.

Frigidaire top load washer won't rinse

this can be two issues. One could be the control knob. there could be a malfunction here. secondly, you may have a faulty water valve assembly. the relay or solenoid may need to be replaced. i would start with the control knob.

Won,t drain on rinse cycle

There could be several causes for this, but probably a bad timer. One test for this...when it stops...is to turn it off...and turn the timer slightly clockwise...to the middle of the rinse cycle...and turn it back on. Does it run then?? Try advancing it to the spin cycle after the rinse. If it runs okay after you manually advance the knob...the timer is probably defective.

My Kenmore diswasher gets stuck between the quick rinse and drying cycle

I am having the same issue as described above. I think it is either the timer, thermostat (temp assure), or thermostat (temp boost) that needs replacing. The dial gets stucks in both the wash temp boost cycle and rinse temp boost cycle. However, I don't have a picture of the temp assure or boost part. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks. -Bill
