Goodmans ld3750hd prob i have is that i turned the tv off by the on/off button instead of remote control, when i tried to turn it back on nothing happened. i checked the fuse and took back off to make sure internal fuse was ok, which it is.i did however notice that 1 piece near the internal fuse had discoloured, could this be the fault. if so how can i fix it, thanx

Yes,ur tv does require a tv orginal remote will help u to used,but the child lock mode must have a secret codes to enter it.Can't turn tv on,must have the tv original remote to enter child lock secret codes though.Tries Goodmans website look for there 1-800.. call ask their customer service they can help to erase the child lock secrect password,if u don't know it.Try website Remotes.com to buy the tv original remote.

Try the following steps. 1. Turn on the tv 2. Press and hold the "tv" button. The light should turn on and stay on. 3. While holding the "tv" button down, press and hold the on/off button. The light should go off, but if you keep holding the buttons, it will turn back on. 4. When the light turns back on, release both keys. 5. Press and release the on/off button repeatedly (while pointing the remote at the tv) until the tv shuts off. 6. As soon as the tv turns off, stop pressing the on/off key and press "stop." This will save the code that controls your tv. 7. If you wish to program your remote to other devices (vcr, dvd, etc.), use the same process described above, except turn on the device you want to control and press the component button that corresponds to the device, rather than "tv." For example, if you want to program your remote to a vcr, you press the "vcr" button instead of the "tv" button, as in the instructions.

1) Is a multi remote - does it or can it control other components like a DVD player or a VHS or Cable box?

2) If it does - you may have selected one of these other components to control
NOTE: Try depressing the TV button and then try the other buttons such as channel or volume to see if it's back working.

I recommend trying the auto-code search to find one that works for your TV. This will search through every TV code it knows, and if none work, unfortunately it cannot be taught new codes.

To have the remote try each TV code it knows one at a time, follow these steps:

1. Turn on your TV.
2. Press and hold the CODE SEARCH button for at least 3 seconds until the red LED lights up and stays lit.
3. Press the TV button on the remote so that the LED blinks once and then remains solid red.
4. Press the ON/OFF button slowly and repeatedly until the TV turns off. The LED will blink once each time you press the ON/OFF button.
   
5. Once the TV turns off, press the ENTER button to store the code and the LED will turn off.

what you are trying to find is a frequency of the power supply, in my country we use 50Hz
but for you turn your tv at the back it is written on the cover of the tv.
that will help what you need. ok

Here is what is called a power scan. It will go through all the codes in the remote and find the right code for your tv.


1)hold down tv button next to sat button in top left corner
2) when all buttons illuminate press 500 into remote
3)press pound sign
4)Hello, please help..
5)hold town tv button again.
6)when all buttons illuminate press big red power button
7)press up arrow once a second until tv shuts off
8)press # pound sign
9)try to turn tv back on w/ big red power button
10)if tv doesnt turn back on try again from step 2 but use down arrow instead

i would suggest trying power scan again...

if this doesnt work try addressing your old remote to the receiver by pressing record from system info screen
