The bike is not charging the battery up,,,or your using more amps than the bike can put out,,,have you fitted more lights to this bike?? do you do a lot of stop starts,,only running the bike for a short time? check the charging system first with all the lights and flashers on it should just charge an amp or so into the battery if its not change the voltage regulator first get a heavy duty one not a cheepy?

The first place I would look is the voltage regulator. When they start to go out, they will continue to drain amps from the battery even when the bike is off. An ohm meter can test to see if there is continuity there when the bike is off. If so, replace the regulator. Pretty easy to test/diagnose the regulator.

Cub M50s tank "killed" two brand new batteries in 24 hours

There is a tool called a negative shunt, it fits to the negative side of the battry and allows a multi meter to be attacked, this will show and leakage from the battary, it is then a case of diss connecting electrical items on the machine until one stops the drain from the battary.

Battery dains when not running

The battery current draw may be caused by a few things, here are some to check: the most common is that a light stays on like the dome light, the brake l;ights may be staying on,aftermarket accessories can cause it as well, audio amplifiers or stereo equipment or aftermarket alarm systems, very common.

Hello i have a 2004 expedition , and i have been having issues with my battery draining. about a month and a half ago i went away vacation , came home to start my truck only to relize my battery was dead....

Your solution is a little hard to find too bad they told you to change the alternator. It is a simple fuse you need to change that is blown. on the expetion sometimes there are two one in the fuse box and one under a black cover follow the alternator small wires it should point to the direction of the small i believe 7.5 amp fuse. it was hard to find and i do this for a living. good searching.

Mower battery keeps going dead. New battery, new ignition switch, dead in two days. My hour meter stays on even when the ignition is off, so I unplugged it, no help.

There should be a battery relay between the battery and the ignition switch. This relay activates by the keyswitch supplying a feed back to relay while in the on position, causing the relay to latch and powering up the entire electrical system. Chances are this relay has failed in the closed position causing the fuel solenoid and start relay to have power all the time, which will drain the battery in a day or two. A quick fix is to install a disconnect switch on the negative side of the battery which you can shut off when you are done with the machine. Hope this helps.

Kazuma battery will not hold a charge

This is a common problem with chinese atvs. I installed a toggle switch on the positive wire from the battery. When my daughter is finished riding, I simply flip the switch and all power to the bike is killed, preserving the battery.
