I have a GE Profile PSW26PSW. I bought it new in 2008. It recently started not cooling properly. I first noticed the freezer was at 15 degrees the next day it was at 19 the next day at 22. I have it set on zero degrees. It's currently at 37 degrees and the refrigerator is not cooling properly either. It's gradually getting warmer and warmer.
If the condensor is dirty, the frig will have to work like the dickens to to stay cool. The condensor coils are either under the unit, or on the back. the newer units tuck them neately under the unit and a good toilet brush, degreasser soap, like "Dawn" works great. If she still is heading south, My first guess would be the compressor, or the thermostat. Try the Condenser coil cleaning first. Lloyd
