Hello my name is chris i just changed all four brake pads and rotors in my 2005 dodge 2500 and the rear brakes aren't releasing properly i wanted to see if you had any ideas on how or why it is doing this

The most difficult part is removing the Rotors because the screws that hold the rotors on the hub can be difficult to remove. If the Rotors look OK, then you do not have to remove them to put new pads in, but if the Rotors have grooves or otherwise look worn, the they should be replaced. There are vidios on how the remove the Rotors, as well.

you should keep all four tires on the ground !!!! LOL ! your rotors or brake pads are bad. do you feel it shake in the steering wheel ? Check these three items and im sure it will fix.......1) jack front car up and try to move front tires in all directions, does it feel loose at all? if yes check tie rod ends, upper and lower ball joints. 2) check brake pads for wear, heat from pads warp the rotors and cause the break pedal and steering to shake or vibrate. 3) If nothing can be found wrong with the tie rods or ball joints i recommend changing the rotors and brake pads, a pretty cheap fix.
you must be joking,right.bypass the load control and your wheels will lock up for a pastime.front pads last approx 25k/rotors about 40k(normal loads)try it with a FULL load,weight wise.
sounds like the pads were either installed wrong or your forgot the have the rotors ground down. grinding down the rotors would have taken out any extra vibration. if the rotors arent ground flat, the pads will cause vibration as they seat against the uneven surface of the rotors. the clicking indicates that the brake calipher was not secured and is hitting the wheel when the brakes are applied. PLEASE Get a Manual from chiltons or haynes for your car they will help you change your pads and rotors more efficently.
Did you buy factory pads or get cheap aftermarket pads? If aftermarket did you get the ceramic? The cheap aftermarket ones tend to squeal pretty bad. Like the last comment on here, you should have your rotors turned whenever you change the pads.
well when u replaced pads did rotors needed to b turned??& r back disks brakes???if not then u can adjust it if it's not rotor take wheel off & cover where pads r & adjusted make sure when u get cover on it's tight but not tight...
If you can't compress the piston with reasonable ease...you may have a frozen caliper. It does not "screw in" like GM models. It either presses back into caliper or it doesn't. If it's that hard to press it back in...get a new caliper.
