New lexmarkz23 wont start printing I do not have a disk for it .

It went out, You have to put a new cartridge inmediatly. As soon as you notice a faint color you should have a new cartridge available, You hurt your print nozzel when you print without ink.

Lexmark has lots of its software and drivers on their website. Just go to their website (link below) and go to the software section and download whatever you need. You may also need to download the driver from the support section if the printer doesn't install with just the software.

1st check ink cartridges if its a new printer the ink heads will be taped if so then it wont print. run the print heads program to set and align the heads. when donr it will print out a paper with lots of **** but thats ok now its set up to print. run the disk it came with to load it to computer. make sure that the printer your are using is the one that is marked on your computer to use. under start pick printers and select from there. add paper in the slot and make sure all openings are open on the printer. it should work fine.

If pressing F11 ("system recovery") does nothing, then your disk-drive, which contains a "system recovery partition" is inaccessible,
i.e., your disk-drive has failed.

You'll need to buy a new disk-drive, install it, and use the original "System Restore" set of CD/DVD disks to reinstall Windows onto the new disk-drive.

It sounds like the most like culprits are the laser assembly or it could be the Mpeg printed circuit board, often found attached to the laser assy by flat ribbon cabbles. the part number should be on the printed circuit board or laser assembly, otherwise obtainable from their closest aurthorised dealer. Please install the Lexmark printer on Windows XP using the "Add Printer Wizard" by following the steps given below:
1. Go to "Start," "Control Panel" and "Printers and Faxes."
2. Click on "Add Printer" and then click "Next."
3. Select "Local Printer" and then click "Next."
4. Select the required Port (USB001 Virtual Printer Port if the printer has already been connected) and click "Next."
Note: If the printer has not been connected, select "File."
5. Click the "Have Disk" button.
6. When the "Install From Disk" screen appears, click "Browse."
7. From the "Locate File" screen, in the "Look In" option, select "Drivers."
8. Click "Open" and then click "OK" in the next screen.
9. When the name Lexmark printer is displayed, click "Next."
10. Leave the name as Lexmark printer and choose whether or not you want the printer to be the default.
11. Indicate whether or not you want to print a "Test Page."
Note: This is the "Windows Test Page." It won't be printed before the cartridges are selected.
12. Click on "Finish." The printer files will then start to copy from the CD.
13. Please follow the on-screen instructions to finish installing the printer.

there is a proceedure for manually adding the printer ports instead of using the wizard on the software disk. Look on the disk and go to the guide .pdf file, the instrucitons are there. i tried it and it worked fine.

This is something only Canon can answer It seems that the perhaps the paper sensor is not doing its job. What Brand/thickness of glossy are you using? May be relevant? Check Canon tech support in the first instance this may be a replacement situation

The printer needs newer drivers downloaded and installed. Make sure all instances of the existing printer are deleted/or are uninstalled. Good Luck Tim fyi I had found this while searching.
