With the engine running are you getting any voltage off the alternator? check with a multimeter. Check voltage at battery while running should be 13 volts or more.

How to know if altanater is bad

You can do a very simple test to see if the alternator is working or not. All you do is start the car, while the car is running, remove the negative battery cable. If the car continues to run, the alternator is still working. If the car dies, the alternator is not working anymore. Another thing you can do is take a volt meter to the positive and negative posts of the battery. While it's running put the voltmeter probes on the pos. and neg. posts of the battery and the voltage should read 14.5 volts at idle. If it's around 12.0v, then the alternator isn't putting out power anymore to charge thet battery.

I have a 91 honda accord that is missing a bit

Pinch the hose that activate the egr valve. If that made the diffrence then the egr valve is open when it is not suppose to. Egr valve only open at normal operating temperature, and during engine loads like accelating, and running at frwy speed.

We got a 91 honda acorrd lx with new barriery and altanater and the car doesnt stay powered up

There's a good chance you have an open circuit such as the door or glove box even the trunk light stays on even though they appear to be closed this switch may not make a complete connection most switches are made from plastic and they wear over time... A simple test with a test flight will determine this .. disconnect the negative terminal on the battery and connect one end of the test light to battery and the other to the battery cable With everything turned off does the light stay lit if so you have a draw in which case you'll need to pull fuse by fuse until the light goes out all while holding the door switch in the closed position so not to get a false reading... This is the starting point in which to determine just that.

My 91 Honda Accord's speedometer stop working if,

sounds like a possible bad ground wire, you will need to find out where these 3 items ground and see if they have a ground point in common.

Ok start from the beginning, you are going to need a factory wiring diagram to make sure you are connecting the wires to the ignition coil where I believe you need to start

91 accord alt belt

  1. Apply a force of 100 N (10 kg, 22 lbs) and measure the deflection between the alternator and crankshaft pulley. Deflection: 10 - 12 mm (0.39 - 0.47 in)
NOTE:
  • On a brand-new belt, the deflection should be 4.5 - 7 mm (0.18 - 0.28 in) when first measured.
  • If there are cracks or any damage evident on the belt, replace it with a new one.
    1. Loosen the through bolt and adjustment locknut.
    2. Turn the adjusting bolt to obtain the proper belt tension, then retighten the nut and mounting bolt.
    3. Recheck the belt deflection.
