1989 Dodge Ramcharger Questions & Answers
1989 dodge ram pick up losing compression will start and idle fine but when in gear it has no power
You have an intake vacuum leak. The vacuum is sucking in water and causing the truck to run rough. It may get better when the truck is hot because this sometimes causes the plastic or gaskets to swell closing up the leak. To confirm ... when it's cold you can start the truck and spray some brake cleaner or quick start around the sides of the intake and you will see the engine will rev up a little.
Hope this helps.

1989 Dodge Ramcharger Engine problems, maybe, now
If you verify that you have fire, fuel and air to the engine and they are ok then I would check the catalytic converter and the muffler to ensure one of them is not plugged. If the cat gets blocked off then it won't allow fuel into the cyl due to back pressure on the engine.

1989 Dodge Ramcharger stalls out.
Hello
Start with the fuel system and go out from there
check fuel preacher, fuel filter, injector spray,
Then go to rotor and cap
sounds like a fuel problem
