I think not a free any windows upgrade. But is you are Mac operating system used then may be low cost pay but pay, then your windows upgrade.
I think you not upgrade old os, direct new windows installed or used it.

It depends on how old it is. it is has 256 mb in each slot then it probably could upgrade to 512 mb in each slot, if it has 512mb in each slot it probably could upgrade to a gig. if it only has SD ram in it though, you can't upgrade to DDR.
