FOUND: LAN drivers for eMachines T3256: This is a unified driver for the nVIDIA chipset. The ethernet driver is on-board; i.e., all on one chip:http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_udp_...

Dear Cedrich,

I found an "unofficial" e-machines website for you: http://www.e4allupgraders.info/

And the following is a link to your Ethernet driver:
http://www.e4allupgraders.info/dir3/files/drivers/lan/AU31_Ethernet_xp2k.zip

Here is the page for your particular model:
http://www.e4allupgraders.info/dir1/motherboards/socketa/au31_downloads.shtml

If you need any further assistance, please request it,
Jem

Thats because yr lan card os not on board, it requires a different driver. I can provide you with 2 solution 1. Buy a new LAN card or try getting the ethernet card driver from the internet(THIS IS NOT A VERY RELIABLE SOLUTION . )

I have a compaq presario 7478, when I got it, the cpu already had windows xp on it, so I recently reinstalled windows xp, and I can not connect to the internet because I am missing the ethernet controller...

You can download the drivers from the Compaq/HPWEB support/download page. Make sure you select your model computer/laptop and the XP Windows version of the drivers you require and install them. Click onthis link to download the drivers: -

I have an emachines t3256 desktop that i just reinstalled windows xp and now i cant get the network adapter to work its onboard and i cant find a driver on their website

Try installing a PCI ehternet card.Turn off the cpu then restart. The cpu will automatically (!?)detect the new hardware and even install the driver(generic). Then there you can get to the internet and get you E-machine drivers. It will also install the driver for your onboard ethernet(NIC) adapter and with that you are good to go.

Ethernet controller and USB are missing on XP

Yes, the device-drivers can be downloaded from the Internet, to one computer, and then burned onto a CD-writable, or written to a USB memory-stick, and then the files can be physically moved to the other computer.

But, "which" device-drivers is completely dependent on which computer that you have. Some motherboards have "integrated" network-adapters and "integrated" USB-ports.

Easiest solution is to take an add-in PCI network-adapter card, and install it, and connect the Ethernet cable to its socket.
Hopefully, Windows will recognize that card, and automatically load the correct device-drivers from the C: drive, i.e., without Internet access.
Or, if you buy an add-in card, it may come with a CD-ROM that contains the device-driver.

Once the device-drivers have been installed, you will have Internet connectivity. Access: http://WindowsUpdate.Microsoft.com
and click "Custom" scan, and then click "Optional Hardware".
Windows Update should find the device-drivers for your motherboard, and install them. Then, you can remove the add-in card, and connect the Ethernet cable to the "on-mother-board" network socket.

I'v put XP on my pc and now I can't get my wireless broadband to work

Hi, this is a common problem when one wipe there hard drive and reinstall an operating system, go to your common manufacture's website and download the driver for your wireless device and Ethernet controller. Recommendation: when ever you wiping your hard drive, also make a backup of your drivers by downloading them before you wipe. I recently wipe my computer, and i make sure i had all the device drivers before i wipe. Smile!

Ethernet not working after format and xp reinstall

Right-click the My Computer icon and select Manage, then go to the Device Manager in the list on the left and find the Network Adapter from the list on the right, right-click Network Adapter and select Uninstall. When you reboot, XP should find the Adapter and reinstall it automatically. Another reboot may be required.

If it still will not connect, go to the NIC Manufacturer's website and download the driver to removable media. The Driver Update option can be accessed in the Device Manager, but this time select Properties when you right-click the Network Adapter, and go to the Driver tab.

Wiped hard disk

Windows XP and Vista should have most of the drivers for the operating system to load. If any are missing after that and your internet connection is ethernet, then you should be able to get the rest of the drivers free from the samsung home site to make your laptop run properly.
