Webcam I've an acer aspire 7220. Since last thursday the acer cristal eye doesn't work when I'm connected on Skype. What can I do ? Please use simple words : I'm french and my computer english vocabulary is short Thanks a lot

I don't think that webcam need installed.
Just plug in your computer, finished.

You need to redownload the drivers for your crystal eye web cam. Go to this link: http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers
When you get there, select "Notebook"...then select "Aspire". Then scroll down and select Aspire 4710 Then where you see "Operating System", select your operating system (ex: XP, Vista, or Windows 7). It will then show all the drivers for your operating system...scroll down until you see the camera driver software and then download and reinstall it. Hopefully this will help...good luck.

Install it, the actual webcam software may not work but the drivers will allow you to use programs like yahoo messenger video chat, and skype.

Try downloading and installing the newest drivers for the model of your computer.

If this doesn't fix it, make sure you are not using any programs like ManyCam or anything that would be using your webcam. You can only use the webcam in one program at a time.

click start>program>acer cristal eye webcam
and you can make your webcam work

use your recovery cd for the driver of your webcam.

maybe its not compatible.

tengo una laptop aspire 5100 pero la pantalla de cristal esta oscura no sale, con el sistema operativo trabaja bien ya que la conecte a un monitor hp pavilion mx 70 si se puede usar la laptop sin problemas solo que la pantalla como dijie no se ve nada totalmente oscura.

If the laptop is new it will be under waranty. Did the shop you purchased the laptop from install the webcam? If so let them fix the problem, if not you may still have to take it back to them to get it installed properly, otherwise you may void the waranty.
