Question about Acer Crystal Eye webcam

Hi there, My Crystal Eye Webcam stopped working. I have re-installed from the original on the HDD it tells me ok. Skype can't find it. In Device Manager it's not visible. I also tryed to start "Acer Cristal Eye Webcam from Start Menu, comes up with "Camera not installed or Camera isoccupied by another user, which there isn''t

Try downloading and installing the newest drivers for the model of your computer.

If this doesn't fix it, make sure you are not using any programs like ManyCam or anything that would be using your webcam. You can only use the webcam in one program at a time.

insert acer cd driver at computer, then install acer crystal eye webcam from there

Hi, I have Acer Aspire 4710 and my Crystal Eye Webcam is not working at all with any Skype version. Right now I have Skype 5.5 and it's still not working but when I open the Crystal Eye Webcam it works...
You need to redownload the drivers for your crystal eye web cam. Go to this link: http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers
When you get there, select "Notebook"...then select "Aspire". Then scroll down and select Aspire 4710 Then where you see "Operating System", select your operating system (ex: XP, Vista, or Windows 7). It will then show all the drivers for your operating system...scroll down until you see the camera driver software and then download and reinstall it. Hopefully this will help...good luck.

My crystal eye progam just stopped working and now i can't use my webcam.
you can still use your webcam, just not with crystal eye. try downloading another webcam viewing program, or even try using programs like skype to see if it is enabled. if it is not, try re-installing drivers for the webcam.

If it still doesn't wrk do the following

Ctrl+Alt+Del

Keep on click delete like 10 times

Then press the turn off button and tell me if it doesn't wrk

Acer crystal eye webcam is always "busy"
Try uninstalling the Acer Crystal Eye Webcam Application first... After that uninstall the webcam driver... Then reboot the computer... Reinstall the software(Acer Crystal Eye Webcam)... I think it will automatically install the webcam driver. See if the webcam work... Make Sure U have the Acer Crystal Eye Webcam installer packagebefore u uninstall the software! If that still didn't work please provide more info(Laptop model, Operating System).
