Control Lock is on and I cannot change it? - Whirlpool Duet 7.0 Cu. Ft. Super Capacity Plus Electric Dryer

You enabled the Control Lock function; this is useful when you clean the control panel. It also keeps children from changing the settings when they shouldn't. Press and hold the Control Lock (bottom right of the Options buttons on the left side of the control panel) for 3+ seconds. You should hear a beep or see a change in the display message. If you hold the button too long, the control lock will toggle off and then back on. The Control Lock feature helps prevent settings from being changed during a cycle. Selecting this feature locks all of the buttons, except for the Power button, on the control panel. This feature does not lock the door.
While a cycle is running, press and hold Half Load and Energy Saver simultaneously for three seconds to activate or deactivate Control Lock.
- To start a new cycle, deactivate Control Lock.

try unplugging for a couple of minutes and it should reset to factory settings.

The power door locks are controlled by the BCM -body control module ! The door lock switch is an input to the BCM .
The BCM, upon receipt of a door lock switch lock or unlock signal, will switch the appropriate door lock actuator control circuits to battery positive voltage. The opposing side of the door lock actuators are connected to ground internally within the BCM through the other door lock actuator control circuit and the doors will lock or unlock appropriately.
First thing to do would be check power an ground circuits at the BCM ! Do you have any other systems not working -power windows etc...
The DR/LCK fuse supplies battery positive voltage to the I/P fuse block for the door lock system. The body control module (BCM) supplies and monitors a reference voltage to the door lock switch through the door lock switch lock/unlock signal circuit. The door lock switch also receives a constant ground source. If a door lock switch is placed in the lock position or unlock position, the reference voltage is taken directly to ground and the BCM detects the voltage drop on the signal circuit.
Should have BCM checked for stored DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes !
Ignition ON, observe the scan tool Driver Door Lock Sw, Psgr Door Lock Sw, Driver Door Unlock Sw and Psgr Door Unlock Sw parameters while using the driver and passenger door lock switches. The parameters should change between Active and Inactive.

If the values does not change between the commanded states, refer to Door Lock Switch Malfunction.

Command the driver door and passenger door lock actuators to LOCK and UNLOCK with the scan tool, the doors should LOCK and UNLOCK when changing between commanded states.

DTC B3135 00: All Door Lock Circuit

Press and hold the Control Lock key for three seconds
to activate or deactivate the function. The Control Lock
feature prevents the user from changing the temperature
and freeze settings. At the first press of any key, the
key press click tone will be heard and the display will
show "LO", but no other change will take place. Holding
the Control Lock key for three seconds will activate or
deactivate the Control Lock feature. After three seconds,
the accept tone sounds and the Control Lock LED (if so
equipped) is activated. In lockout mode, when any key
is pressed, the invalid key tone will be heard and "LO"
will be displayed for 1 second. When the lockout is
deactivated, the Control Lock LED is turned off and the
display shows "UL"

if this does not work unplug the freezer for 30seconds then plug it in. if all of the above fails replace the control.

Examine the control panel and locate the "Control Lock" button, sometimes located next to the "Light On-Off" button.

Press and hold the "Control Lock" button for a few seconds until the small red LED goes out.

Make your changes to the refrigerator's controls, or use the water and ice dispenser. Repeat step 2 to restore the control lock.

There are 3 models with this model #,so not sure if your has lock.
If it does and still changes,contact ge and tell them what is happening,maybe they will send you out a new control panel,if the warranty expired,depends.But it doesn't hurt to try.


This feature allows you to lock the controls
so the settings cannot be changed.
To lock the controls:
Set the controls to the desired settings.
Press and hold the lock pad for
3 seconds.
When the controls are locked, the indicator
light will come on and the control settings
will not be displayed.
To unlock the controls:
Press and hold the lock pad for 3 seconds.
After unlocking the controls, the settings
will be displayed, the lock indicator light
will go out and the settings can be changed.

remove spring around door seal ..roll seal back into door opening remove 2 screws on outer frame holding lock in place ..pull lock through opening remove wires reinstall in reverse..are you sure lock is broke if you hear a clicking noise when lock should be closing suspect loose connection on main control bd ..remove top control is gray box on rear rail..try wiggling connections toward center of control if lock energizes and works suspect control ..may be able to shim plug in place but sure fix would be new control
