check color system settings pal to pal
TV PAL then DVD player has to be PAL
TV NTSC then DVD player needs to be NTSC
If mismatch in settings you may experience black and white
You have to use an external device to convert NTSC to PAL or vis versa. The device cost between 175 to 250 $. I think you can buy a small new generation multi system TV for that price !!!!. If you still want to buy click on the below link.
PAL is the format of the dvd and there are two main formats for a dvd and they are PAL or NTSC. The NTSC format is mostly used for the United States, and the PAL format is used more in Europe and Asia. An older dvd player will have the format options in the setup menu for the dvd player, and from the setup menu on the tv screen the dvd player can be set to play the PAL dvd's. However if that is not the problem and the dvd player no longer can tell a PAL from a NTSC format then the dvd player either needs a serious lens cleaning or it has a malfunction. Also, the back of the cover for the dvd should say if it is PAL or NTSC.
some times the dvd's change by itself to PAL/NTSC system so you need enter to set up and select the option in system tv NTSC for America users. Make shure conect yellow cable in the yellow conector.
seems like you put an NTSC dvd movie in there and the machine is set to Pal or the other way around. you need to program your computer to multi region setting. check the website for the unlock region codes. good luck
Look at the back of the DVD player it should have a NTSC & PAL switch ,but remember to switch off the dvd player after you change it over to NTSC or PAL
check and see if your dvd player is not on pal if it is then you switch to ntsc.if it is not on pal then check all your connections if every thing is okay its time to call in the tech the dvd is having a problem in the video circuit.good luck.
