The water dispenser will sometimes drip and doesn't stop. It doesn't stop by pulling forward on the lever, I have to push it in as though I'm dispensing more water and that usually stops it. If I don't catch that it's leaking and I leave the house, the floor will be covered by the time I get home.

There may be several reasons for this like a leaking water control valve, air in water lines or you may just need to replace the dispenser water line with a kit Part Number 8201537 Try unplugging the dispenser power on rear of refrigerator and tell me if that stops the flow. let me know, Sea Breeze

That pushing stopping it sounds like the water valve seats some times and not others. That would point to a bad water control valve part=> 4389177 The 8201537 Fitting and tube assembly, water dispenser can be found here=> 8201537 just past the wiring diagram and second row of photos.

A slow drip in water dispenser

This sounds like a sticking solenoid valve. When you depress the lever for you water dispenser it activates a valve, usually at the bottom back of the fridge. It might look something like this:

25380372-1h1xuof4er41rm4qkikzo3jl-4-0.jpg Sometimes they just burn out and stop working or the seal inside fails sometimes from particulates in the water. Some people put a pre-filter on the water hose that attaches to the fridge just in case. If you have a water filter inside your fridge this does not protect the solenoid. They are next to impossible to repair so a replacement is needed. Just go to Amazon or eReplacement parts and search for your fridge model number with the search terms "water dispenser solenoid". If you are mechanically inclined you can replace yourself or get an appliance tech to do it. It's a 15 minute job.

Water dispenser drips sometimes after filling a cup with water. Does not happen every time. If not addressed, the drip continues indefinitely. To stop the drip, I use my index finger to give a good poke...

When water leaks from the dispenser like this it will be caused by a defective water control valve that will not shut properly when off. The leaking water is the same as a leaking faucet. The KSCS25IN uses a=> W10247725-Water Control Valve or HERE

Hotpoint HSS25GFT 25.0 Cu. Ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator with GE SmartWater Filtration, LightTouch Problem: Water continually drips from water dispenser spout

Should be the water valve in the back. Over time the seals break down our debre in water will cause to leak. Sometimes new water filters will also cause small issues but shouldn't last long.

The water dispenser on my GE fridge, model bss25jsrss, doesn't work. There is water in the lines, and the lights in the front work, but when I try to get water or ice nothing comes out.

There is a simple switch behind the push lever which activates the water/ice dispenser circuit. Sometimes these switches are poorly engineered to the lever with an adhesive or plastic rod which will break away. This is the first place I would look for a culprit.

Water dispenser lever is broken

On my FRIGIDAIRE MODEL: PLHS69EGSS side by side
1st, unplug or turn breaker off for refrig. 2nd, remove the slide out drip tray, 3rd, remove the 3 bottom screws at the bottom of the dispenser bezel (behind the drip tray). 4th, remove the bezel (slide up about 1/4" and pull forward, gently), WHEN DOING THIS BE VERY CAREFUL YOU DON'T ACCIDENTLY UNPLUG THE CONTROL BOARD FROM THE MAIN BOARD. 5th, remove the 3 screws holding the dispenser mechanism in place. 6th, remove the water dispensing hose from the dispensing mechanism., 7th, carefully unplug the power supply to the main board. hold down the clip to do this. 8th, with the dispenser out, remove the water dispenser lever plug from the coil board, 9th, remove the 2 screws for the metal hold downs for the lever pivot.
Be SURE YOU LOOK AT HOW THE SPRING IS LOADED. OTHERWISE THE LEVER WILL NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY.
chances are, you will have difficulty removing the water hose from the dispenser unit. I did. I also had a harder time trying to get it back in. The factory hose is pretty rigid and I figured there mus be a better way. I had some 1/4" clear hose from home depot. I got a piece of 1/4' tubing and made a splice from the factory tubing to the clear, flexible tubing. The flexible tubing allows you to have additional tubing to play with and makes the job much, much easier. good luck

1. After brewing a cup of coffee, when the grinds are emptying, a stream of coffee and grinds drains into the Drip Tray from the valve(?) in the rear right of the Drip Tray. We have gone into program mode...

HI
Excess water into the drip tray is an indication that you don't have enough coffee going into the brew unit. There is a lever on the top of the door that has a + on one side and a - to the front. Push the lever back to the full plus, then pull it forward 1 click. Try that.
Water into the drip tray is normal in small amounts. This is the release of pressure after brewing, like the 3 way valve on commercial machines

Dripping shower head

If it is dripping from the connection where it goes to the water spout you can unscrew the connection and wrap teflon tape or Pipe Joint Compound on the Threads. Now you can Thread the Shower Head Back on, with No Leak. IF..... It is leaking from the Shower Head Itself There May Be a Problem with the diverter handle/lever. If it has a Pull Type Lever, sometimes you can screw the Lever up or down for the proper water restriction to the Shower Head. However if the Hot and Cold Handle/Lever is OFF, There should not be any Water coming out from anywhere! If water is coming out off the Tub Spout, with the Shower Off, then you will have to replace some washers or Cartridges in the faucet(s) to stop the dripping. You can do this easily....Just Ask) Remember though, that some shower Heads may Drip for a Few Minutes After they are Turned off. There is still water in the Supply neck and needs to escape, either though the tub Spout or Shower Head.......Hope this Solution Helps you with your Drips.....Joe

Water dispenses without pushing lever

There is a solinoid valve that opens when you push the switch in. It has apparently failed and is leaking. Sometimes taking it apart and cleaning it will fix the problem.
