It has a safety switch. This switch turns machine on when it detects paper and off if it doesn't. Something wrong with sensor. Broken, paper stuck under it, out of position. Will have to open it up and check the sensor. ***Always remember to unplug any equipment before working on it***

Swingline 535 Electric 3 Hole Punch. I need electric cord for it please.

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved from Cars and Trucks to model category.

Unfortunately, it looks like a one-off special. I would have thought it would bed a standard figure 8 two pin plug into the stapler

My heavy duty GBC 111PM-3 Electric Comb Hole Punch is stuck - how do I get it unstuck?

Question edited for clarity.

Not much on clearing jams. You could contact then direct. You will probably need to remove the base. Hit the punches with a centre punch. One thing you could try is spaying the punches and the document with WD40 and leave is overnight. My theory is that it will lubricate the punches and they will pop up. I would also suggest pulling out and tearing all of the sheets from the front one at a time. That will ease the friction.

Swingline 74030 manual hole punch handle is locked down

by locked down I am going to assume you mean it will not go back to the normal postion when it is not making a hole. this can be caused by too many of the scrap pieces of paper that are left from making the hole. clogging the punch area. remove all the excess pieces of paper that may be stuck in the whole punch, then try again, you may have to pry the handle and or push and pull it until it releases. do not use again until the handle moves smoothly, clean the areas around the punch.

Cannot get the arm all the way up

this can be caused by excess paper stuck in the punch area. clean out all the excess paper, making sure to pay attention to the punch area. gently try to move the handle, it may take several tries to get the handle to move freely, make sure you clean out all excess paper before you use again.

We have a swingline model #690 - after loading with new staples, it does not staple. It is plugged in and makes a sound like it's stapling but does not release a staple.

1. Make sure you have the correct staples for the machine. The type appears to be:
Swingline 50050 Cartridge Staples, Chisel Point, 1/2"" Crown, 3/16"" Leg, 5000 Per Box High-quality Swingline cartridge

2. Check the cartridge to make sure there are no visible jams.

3. Contact the manufacturer at http://www.acco.com/swingline/, or

Broken electric 3-hole punch

There are two phillips screws in the bottom. Once they are removed, the top and bottom of the case are held together with clips molded into the case. Take a wide flat screwdriver and place it in the seam and gently pry it apart. Might want to start on the back in case you ****** up the plastic.
