I have a yamaha ttr230 and since i have pulled it out of storage this spring it cant make it run right. It starts fine and idles but a soon as any throttle is given it dies out . I have put fresh gas in it cleaned the air box and checked the spark plug and all seems fine .Its a 2008 year.

G'day, sounds a bit like the float valve in the carby might be stuck nearly shut or just some moisture in the carby, a light tap with the handle of a screwdriver on the side of the carby bowl should fix it if it's the needle stuck shut (happens from sitting sometimes), or maybe try loosening the drain screw in the bottom of the carby bowl to drain any water etc out, hope this helps :)

I have the same problem with an '03 TTR 225. Was in storage about a year. Have drained fuel tank and carb bowl and replaced with fresh gas. Plenty of spark; air filter is clean. Did April question get solved?

Yamaha wr 400 2000 model pulled apart carby to clean

big spring is for the dighram! the only other wouls be for the pointy mixture screw

wind the screw in till it just stops [not hard]
then wind out about 1 & 3/4 turns that should be a close air fuel mix then adjust idle & mix till you get it right
