You can have failing power supply due to bad caps.
Most common failure in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed HP and other monitors to get some ideas of what goes wrong: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further, it will also help out other people with the same problem.

Hi there i need an assistant, i dont know if you can be of a help. I have got a packard bell desktop with a core quod intel processor, it has got an acer motherboard in it,acer g43t-am aspire m5722, The...

If your desktop goes to sleep when it is idle, then this is controlled by your power settings and you can change the time for how long the system can be idle before going to sleep....If pressing a key or moving the mouse does not wake the system again, then try just pressing once on the power button which should cause the system to wake and bring you back to a sign-on panel again. Note: do not press and hold the power key as this will force power off if held for more than 4 seconds normally on most systems.

Why does my HP vs17 monitor screen keep going to blank black screen like it turned off but did'nt.....blue power button light is still on? Everything is running but no picture.....keeps happening everytime...

this old monitor has 2 issues.
1: it has CCFL tubes that love to burn out (backlamps)
most this old are long go, yell, dim.,blinking or DEAD.
2: push the menu button on front of mon. turn off power saver.

3: if the PC goes to sleep, or hibernete mode (parked)
then that is 100% normal
if you dont like feature then go to windows control panel
click power, ICON and turn off all monitor sleep /hibernate modes.

that assumes windows, no OS stated.

if the lamps are dead,
use flash light pointed to sceen, see data. ? bingo for bad CCFT tubes.
as seen here

there could be various things wrong with the computer which can only be solved by looking at the computer

i will give you a way to stop it from sleeping

1. right click on your desktop
2. click on properties, this brings a dialog box
3. select the screen saver tab in the dialog box
4. click on "power" button, this will bring another dialog box
5. select the "always on scheme" from the drop down menu or select "never" in all of the settings
6. click on ok

Problem with the receiver on my wireless keyboard & mouse KB985W

If you still have the software that came with your keyboard and mouse then i suggest you reload it, it appears that some of your keys have functions to them and they are misbehaving.

If you do not have the software then remove the reciever from the computer and then replace it again. press the connect button on the reciever then the connect button on the keyboard, wait for it to register the keyboard then press the connect button on the reciever then the connect button on the mouse and wait for it to register.

Hopefully this will help.

Pc stuck in sleep mode...

You will need to replace the hard drive which has any version of windows operating system, or you will have to re-install windows xp on that computer. Assuming if the computer has a green light and monitor has an orange light. I've encountered this problem where I work at.
