My xbox360 has 3 red lights how do i fix that

If you are getting the red light error this is caused by different things depending on how many red lights you having showing up:

1 red light is the display chip overheating

2 red lights is the whole console overheating and you should try and cool it down to fix this.

3 red lights is the most common error and it is caused by the GPU and the CPU overheating, you will need to stop the heat build up.

4 red lights is just the AV cable not plugged in normally.

To fix the 1, 2 , 3 red light error you will need to send it in and they will fix it for you.

The only problem is that this can take about 4 weeks and you will also have to pay out a repair fee to fix the problem.

The other way is to use a good Xbox 360 Repair guide that will show you how to stop the heat build up on the chips.

If you have the three red lights STOP! Don't try to fix it, but rather contact MICROSOFT and get it replaced!! Red lights means that it is a hardware malfunction and you can fix it for a little bit, but eventually it will still be broken. MICROSOFT admitted that they made a factory flaw and it is indicated by the three red lights. Talk to them and get them to send you another system.
