How to change time in Tomtom GPS device

The time change (Spring Forward) last week took place in US. However, my TomTom3 still shows the old time. How do I change the time in the devise. The Instruction says GPS will automatically chnage the time, but it has not changed. Can you tell me how I change the time in the device. Thank you.

Here's the solution to your problem:
> Tap the "Change preferences" icon
> Tap the Arrow Icon until you reach the screen with the "Set Clock" Icon
> Tap how you would like the time displayed
> Tap done
> Set the correct time to display
> Tap Done

This will set the new time on your unit.

You MUST unplug the unit from the computer to change the time!

Then it is simple as stated above.

> Tap the "Change preferences" icon
> Tap the Arrow Icon until you reach the screen with the "Set Clock" Icon
> Tap how you would like the time displayed
> Tap done
> Set the correct time to display
> Tap Done

    Thanks for this. Yes as soon as I disconnected from the computer I was able to tap through all the time options on page 5 of 'change preferences' Great work

Maybe it hang up while updating the maps, try to hard reset by removing the battery and then fix it again and switch on. try update the tomtom3.

Last week I updated my TomTom One with the latest maps, etc. Since then whenever I use my TomTom it keeps displaying a "Shutting down in 10 seconds" screen, with follow up screens, and then it shuts down....
Make sure you have "never turn off screen" checked, To do this tap "change prferences" tap the forward arrow until you see "battery saving preferences". Tap "battery saving preferences" then tap "never turn screen off". Tap "done" and make sure that "switch off when external power is lost" is not checked. Tap "done". If you do not see this option go back into "change preferences" tap the forward arrow until you see "show menu options" it should read "show fewer munu options"

Time is incorrect on tomtom 330s
Turn on your TomTom and tap the screen until you see change preferences. Tap "change preferences", then tap the forward arrow until you see "set clock". If you don't see "set clock" you may have to tap "show more menu options".

download tomtom home from www.tomtom.com install your cradle after the download then your tomtom and with a bit of luck, the update section will automatically select the updates you need. good luck

Keeps displaying cannot get valid gps signal was working fine last week now does not work
i work as a truck driver on a small fleet of 7 vehicles in the midlands UK

3 of us have Tom Toms, the others have medion, navman or garmin.

ALL the tom tom users have been experiencing GPS problems this week ( june 21 onwards ) whilst the rest of us have seen no change in GPS satelite availability.

In addition, a friend who uses a TOM TOM One XL in another part of the UK has also had same problems.

Its a TOM TOM problem generally it seems, and NOT your particular piece of kit.

Try letting it charge overnight. More than likely though the battery has gone flat and will need to be replaced.

Change clock time to day light saving time
When you first start using your TomTom ONE , not all the buttons will be shown in the menu. Many buttons and some more advanced features are hidden because you will not need these features very often.To see all of the buttons and features, tap "Show ALL menu options" button in the Preference menu.)

My Tomtom One XL, shows strange language and I can t change it.
Boot up your tt, tap the map screen, then tap change preferences (bottom far right icon next to the forward arrow), tap the forward arrow until you come to an icon with flags, tap the flags icon. You will then be able to set your language.

GPS Taking to teh Wrong Direction
If maps get outdated enough, any device can go awry. Keeping your maps updated should keep it working fine. TomTom has Tele Atlas map updates at their map store here: http://www.tomtom.com/products/maps/select.php

If your maps are in fact updated and you're still having difficulty, it might be time for an upgrade
