Open the mail, and keep scrolling down, and you will find your old replied mail if you have not changed the Subject Line of the Mail

Simply because he/she is offline & using " i'm on mobile " (usually stated under the user's icon), which means he/she will not receive any messages through PC/laptop but via mobile phone.
