If your machine is a front loader, then you will need to remove the rear panel, normally this is just a screwdriver requirement. make sure you take your old belt as the supplier will require the numbers from it to ensure you get the correct size. There are many different belts. Place the belt onto motor shaft and then onto drum pully wheel as far as it will go. You then need to rotate the drum by hand to feed the belt onto the wheel. After you have done this you may need to line the belt up by moving it across the grooves on the motor spindle. to do so again move the drum pully around and at same time move belt across the motor pully groves until belt runs central on drum pully. This may seem awkward but you will be suprised how easy it really is.Also it will save you a fortune by doing this yourself

How do I remove the back access cover on an Indesit WIE 167 washing machine to replace belt

Follow these procedures to remove the back access cover on an Indesit WIE 167 washing machine and replace the belt:

Disconnect the washer from the electrical outlet and turn off the water supply.

Move the washing machine away from the wall so that the back can be accessed.

Find the screws that secure the rear access cover. Often, they are positioned throughout the cover's perimeter.

Remove the screws using a screwdriver and store them in a secure location.

Carefully remove the washing machine's back access cover. Using a flat instrument, such as a putty knife or a scraper, to pull the cover away from the machine may be useful.

Once the cover is removed, the belt should be accessible. Remove the old belt from the machine with care.

Put the replacement belt on both the motor and drum pulleys.

Align the back access panel with the washing machine and secure the screws to reattach it.

Reconnect the washing machine and activate the water supply.

Verify that the replacement belt works properly by putting the washing machine through a series of tests.

When servicing a washing machine, it is essential to observe all safety precautions. If you are uncertain or uncomfortable with any of these processes, it may be better to call a skilled technician or service center for assistance.

Whcandy washing machine grand go f 662 stops mid cycle and the cold wash light flashes and the softener isnt usedat's your problem?

Hello.

Washing machines, like any other mechanical device, occasionally needs servicing. A common problem with an older washing machine is that the spinner, or agitator, drain,or stops rotating during wash cycles. Fortunately, most washing machine problems are easy to troubleshoot. Any do-it-your self offer can fix it; here's how.

TOOLS NEEDED TO SOLVE PROBLEM ARE BELOW.

Bucket and rags,Screwdriver,
New drive belt (if necessary),
New drive motor (if necessary).

1 Unplug the washing machine, and turn off the water supply to the machine. If necessary, remove the water hoses from the back of the washing machine because they may be in the way of the access panel.

2 Check that the agitator is seated correctly by opening the lid of the washing machine. If it's loose, pop off the top of the agitator--if there is one--and tighten the bolt that holds the agitator in place. Or, in some models, simply pull straight up and then reseat the agitator.

3 Remove the access panel located in the back of the washing machine by unscrewing the screws holding it in place. This allows access to the drive motor.

4 Press on the drive belt that works the agitator. If the belt moves more than 3/4 inch, tighten the belt to fix the spinner problem. If the belt is worn or cracked, replace the belt.

5 Replace the drive motor, if tightening or replacing the drive belt doesn't fix the agitator. Purchase a new drive motor at a wholesale retailer. Disconnect wiring, remove screws holding motor in place and insert new motor. Screw into place, and connect wiring.

6 Check for any black substance leaking under the washing machine. This might indicate a clutch problem, if the washing machine spinner is not working. Contact a professional repairman to replace the clutch.

Thanks.

I need to replace the belt on my Miele washing machine. Can you tell me how to do it?

Open the washing machine's back access panel.Depending on the make and model of your washing machine, you may need a screwdriver to unscrew the screws that hold the panel up.Locate the washing machine's drive belt.It will be in clear view, detach the old drive belt.Use the screwdriver to unscrew the pump coupling. Then gently slide the old belt off of the drive belt notch. If the belt is broken,be careful not to leave any pieces in the washing machine's interior. Slide the new washing machine drive belt over the drive belt pulley in the machine.Carefully stretch the belt up and over the second pulley before releasing.Use the screwdriver to re-attach the pump coupling.Test the drive belt's tension. If it is looser, tighten the pulleys to increase the belt's tension.Replace the access panel and resume using your washing machine.

Replaced drive belt on maytag washing machine but belts are loose

The small wheel in that the belt goes around is also the tensioner. Loosen it and put pressure on it with a bar to make it tighter. Then retighten the bolt.
