Hello uze7, Here is the wiring match up for a 2009 Subaru Forester using the Metra 70-7552 wiring harness: NOTE: The actual harness will be listed as a Nissan harness, but has been used by Subaru since 2007. Also, I'm assuming that your Sony deck uses the standard color code. If not, you should have a manual that lists the function along with the colors. Match the wiring by function, not by color (although the colors may be the same). 2009 Subaru Forester Radio Wiring Color Code: Battery BLUE/RED (+) RADIO HARNESS Accessory YELLOW/RED (+) RADIO HARNESS Ground BLACK (-) RADIO HARNESS Illumination VIOLET (+) RADIO HARNESS Dimmer BLACK/WHITE (-) RADIO HARNESS Power Antenna YELLOW/BLACK (+) RADIO HARNESS LF Speaker (+) BROWN LF Speaker (-) BROWN/WHITE RF Speaker (+) BLUE/WHITE RF Speaker (-) BLUE/YELLOW LR Speaker (+) WHITE/BLACK LR Speaker (-) RED/YELLOW RR Speaker (+) GRAY RR Speaker (-) GRAY/RED Metra Harness: Yellow ? 12V Constant Red ? 12V Accessory Black - Ground Orange ? Orange is for illumination and connects to the "dimmer" wire on your vehicle wiring. Yellow/Black is the mute lead and connects to your bluetooth or hardwired audio mute function. Blue/White (terminated with a quick disconnect) is the remote wire and provides a 12V positive turn-on signal for a power antenna or remote amplifier. Speaker wiring follows the industry standard color code:
White - left front +
White/Black left front -
Gray - right front +
Gray/Black - right front -
Green - left rear +
Green/Black left rear -
Violet - right rear +
Violet/Black - right rear -
If you do not have a copy of the installation/user manual, you can download a copy from Crutchfield. It will have the complete wiring diagram and color codes as well as operating instructions.
on what system?
