Its probably the thin ribbon cable from the mother board to the screen, OR an issue with the LCD itself.. To help eliminate, try a SAFE MODE boot by tapping the F8 key just after the Acer logo, (if windows) .. The screen resolution will be incorrect but no drivers will be loaded. If its OK in this mode, then bring it back up normally and go to Acer's web site and locate the support and drivers page and download and install the driver for that model..
