Doesn't start and make a click noise

1 Check battery connections for tightness and make sure battery isn’t flat.
2 could be the starter motor has jammed if the car is manual gearbox put car into 1st or 2nd gear and with the ignition off rock the car forwards and backwards if you hear a clunk noise the starter motor has released itself and should start.
3 if above fails it’s likely to be a solenoid problem on the stater motor and will need to be replaced.
Hope this helps you

Golfcart cranks but not starting.

Before doing anything, make sure that the timing and valves are properly adjusted. THEN, you need to check the ignition system and the fuel delivery systems for proper operation. You need spark and fuel delivery for that puppy to run. Did you check the ignition coil to make sure it is good? Are you getting a strong spark at the plug? Did you try starter fluid? Is new carb properly adjusted?
