I had installed new batteries, I installed one incorrectly. Had charger on overnight. I changed that. Now the golf car goes slow in forward and fast in reverse. Need help, what did I do wrong? How do I fix it?

I DON'T HAVE HELP FOR THIS BUT.................WITH MINE THE RELAYS SEEM TO JUST CLICK. DOES FINE IN REVERSE BUT WILL NOT GO FORWARD. I DID GET A WIRING DIAGRAM BUT CAN NOT TELL FROM IT WHAT WOULD BE WRONG. WHAT ARE THE CONNECTIONS ON THE MOTOR. THERE ARE FOUR. WHAT IS WHAT THERE? THANK YOU TRACY
If you send me a copy of the wiring diagram I think I would be able to help you. Generally there is a resistor that restricts speed in reverse. This resistor will be attached to the forward reverse switch. On the surface it sounds like you might have moved the two wires on the forward reverse interlock microswitch?

Recheck your battery wiring. The batteries should be wired in series, neg to pos to neg. I believe one of the batteries behind the driver's side is the main negative and one on the passenger side is the main positive. There is usually a #6 green wire coming from the for/rev switch to a positive battery post, however , it might be a different color, but that one is the reverse wire, It can be on any positive post, just count the number of batteries between green wire and main neg, multiply by 6 and that would be total reverse voltage. If wired correctly all 6 batteries are used for forward.
