It supports the MP4 "memory stick" format, with the file extensions .mp4 and .m4v.

Two video codecs are supported: H.264/AVC (with maximum bit rate of 768 k/sec), and MPEG-4 (with maximum bit rate of 2,500 k/sec).

The maximum frame rate is 30 fps, the maximum resolution is 320x240, and the maximum supported file size is 2 Gigabytes.

SOURCE: Transfer videos to my sony nwz-s616f

Firstly; is it in the right format? You say MP4, but the video needs to be specifically MP4 - 320x240 screen resolution. It won't play if the resolution is incorrect.

So get that fixed up first if that's what's wrong (http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/ has a great program to convert videos to MP4). If not, sometimes my computer doesn't allow me to put files on it one way, but it will another, so try copy/paste instead of drop and drag. Hope that helps.

How do i put video in Sony Walkman NWZ-E435F digital media player

Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine thetype of video file format it uses. Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI andWMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX.If your player cannot play a video then it is anincompatible video file format, then you need to convert that video file to aformat that your MP3 player uses. After video conversion then copy the videofiles to your MP3 player using the USB cable from your computer.Click on this link for instructions on converting videofiles for MP3 players :-http://www.fixya.com/support/r5874192-play_videos_mp3_player

I have a sony walkman and im trying to convert music videos to it with windows media and I have downloaded a sony walkman converter but when I try to play it on my walk man it says cannot play file format...

I have tried numerous converters and once I move the files to my Sony Walkman it says that either the file cannot be played or that there are no video files on it. I have used manual settings, I have used programs that auto convert for sony walkman and nothing. What I don't get is that only a few weeks ago I added some wmv files to it and they are working fine, but now if I try to add even one of the same files it wont work. Did I accidently uninstall something, or something?

Sony Walkman will accept converted video file and it's format should be MPG-4 or MP4. other format will no be played and be sure you have to put that in your "Video" folder of your Walkman.

My youtube videos are saved on my memory stick but won't even show up in videos or anything!

Your mobile phone wont recognized the video file that is save on your Memory stick thats is why it will not play on your mobile phone., If you already download the video in youtube you need to convert the file before you can play it using your phone.

You can search on google.com. Just type video converter software., it will shows different software that you can use.

you can refer to your manual the type of video that can recognized by your camera

    Format not supported??

Yes, that is the problem. The resolution needs to be 320x240 because that's what Walkman plays. The best way to convert it (well, the simplest - you can use Handbrake and a myriad of things, but this works in a less confusing manner) that I have found is through DVDVideosoft's program, available for free download here: http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/

From there, (once downloaded and installed) you need to download and install the YouTube to iPod component (but that's relatively easy and quick on a decent connection) by clicking the first option in the left-hand side menu, "1. YouTube to iPod Converter" which will prompt you to download and install. (I know it says iPod but it works in the same file format, MP4. It also says YouTube, but works for any file on your computer.) Then, when that's done, click again on the YouTube to iPod Converter link, locate the file in the input URL field (by clicking browse, ensure that where it says "file type" in the dropdown box in the open menu, you change it to say "all file types" instead of flv). Click open.

Where it says "devices" under the output file field, select Apple IPod. Next to that, select "iPod Classic High Quality (MPEG4, 30fps, 320x240; AAC - 192KBit" and convert. This will dump the new file in the same folder as the previous unconverted file was - if you want to change that, find a new location in the output file field below the input file field :)

    CONVERT!

That should all be fine once your converted to 320x240 MP4, if the video file size is small enough to fit on your Walkman. Hope that helps you! Let me know if this solution doesn't work and I'll try to find another one, but that's how I convert my video files. =D
