In most cases it's not a bad heating element there are a few checks you need to make before buying a new heating element, you can follow this guide to make the repairs: Electric Dryer Runs But Dont Heat
The most common problem on these dryers is the heating element itself. The part number for the element assy is 131553900 and runs about 70 bucks you can buy a restring kit for alot cheaper but I would recommend just buying the assy because if you over stretch the coil it will cause it to burn out quicker. Good luck.
Call your parts house and give them the model number. They can tell you exactly which one to buy. Are you sure its the heating element? I ask because there are several things that can prevent it from heating. I dont want you to waste money changing parts.
Well if the fuse was blown it would not run so that is probably a broken heating element. Their is no need to buy the entire replacement pan and element, you can buy a restring kit for a fraction of the cost. I have repair photos and a service manual for newer models HERE
dryer is built by whirlpool, unplug ,remove back, check for resistance of element with an ohm meter. if reistance is infinite ,buy another element part #279838. if not check the thermostat above the element , should read 0 ohms
