What is a canteen?

This is a water bottle used by a soldier. It is also used by campers. It is a bottle that can be carried around your shoulder on a strap or attached to a belt.Canteens have in the past been made from calabash, eggshells, glass, or metal, but are currently made mainly from plastic.

The bugaboo frog harness - the end of the sholder straps don't click into the centre harness piece. There are clips at the end of the harness but they don't fit the shape of the centre clip...

There should be plastic rings on both the lap belts for the shoulder harness to clip too. If they are broken off you can buy the same plastic buckles from Mountain Buggy but you have to sew them on! Bugaboo don't sell them as a part, only with the whole seat frame! Here's a pic of a Bee harness (I have not got a Frog pic) it's the same style. macnutz_37.jpg

How do you move the straps for a bigger child

Hi
Undo the popper on the shoulder harness pad. Slide the pad down the length of the shoulder harness strap.
Unhook the metal D ring.
Feed the short length, low down anchor point back in behind the seat fabric. Bring the longer length, higher up anchor point out at the desired height.
Re-attach the D ring. Adjust the harness straps accordingly.
Slide harness pad back up shoulder harness and re-attach popper.

I took off the cover to wash and now I'm trying to figure out how to get straps put back on

This will help if you lay out the chest pieces and all the pieces you removed on the table first. If it helps, snap them together. Then, lay out the pieces with metal prongs that lock into the buckle that goes between your child's legs.

1st pull through the belt adjusting piece through the bottom cover ****.

2nd pull the square release buckle through the second ****, on top of the piece that tightens and releases. This is the piece that you push with your thumb to release the seatbelt.

3rd pull both side seatbelts through the respective side right and left and make sure they are flat.

4th slide on the two pieces with metal prongs on one left and one right seatbelt. Before you do this, ensure that you have put the correct piece on the correct side and that they will latch properly into the buckle. Snap them into the buckle to ensure you have it right.

5th attach the two respective chest clips on one right and one left seatbelt. Snap them together to ensure you have it right.

6th pull the top shoulder seatbelt straps through one of the top cover slits. If you have a newborn, then it will be the bottom **** at the top. If your child has grown, then it will be the top two slits. Ensure both seatbelts are pulled either through the same **** on either side.

7th after you have pulled the shoulder straps through the top slits on the cover, pull them through the slits in the plastic carseat frame. Pull them through until you see them at the rear.

8th attach on their respective sides the shoulder strap at the back of the plastic carseat. There is a big brass metal piece with "hooks" at the top. The shoulder strap has a seatbelt "loop" on one end that can be hooked on. Do this on each respective side and make sure it is secure.

Plastic strap broke

No plastic straps are usually not covered by warrenty. If you live next to a ski resort with a shop im sure they will have a replacement for about 10 buck MAX. Otherwise check at your sporting goods stores(I know scheels carrys them).

Evenflo car seat

1. Remove the cover on the back upright (8 phillips screws).
2. Remove the white plastic clips that retain the brass clip holding the shoulder straps in place.
3. Pull the brass clips away slightly, then, turn them and push through the slot where the shoulder straps go through to the front of the car seat.
4. Pull the straps through the lower seat cushion slots.
5. Wash and reverse steps above to put back together.

I took the cover off to wash it but now can't figure out how to put it back on. I think it is a 5 point connection system model 8465wsr3

Its a GREAT seat! I have the same one!
Assuming you removed the harness.

The easiest way I have found to do this is , place the seat on the ground and put the cover on the seat. There are some elastic fastners that are loops on some models, that go onto small plastic poles. IF you don't have this, it is ok.

Then clip the harness together at the chest clip, and at the buckle. This helps you not get so twists.

Put each of the top shoulder straps through the hole in the seat cover AND the plastic of the shell of the seat. For this rear facing seat, the straps should be At or BELOW the shoulders of the infant riding in the seat. When both straps are through the plastic shells, you slide them onto the metal flat mushroom shaped piece on the back of the seat that is attached to the adjustor strap.

Pass the middle strap (the buckle) through the hole in the seat cover and shell. Pull to ensure it catches.
NExt, take the small metal cliped bottoms of the harness, and pass them through the seat cover and seat shell in the bottom of the seat, they are in the crease of the side/bottom of the plastic shell. Once they are passed through, give them a good pull to ensure they catch. Repeat for the other side, and you are good to go!

If you washed the harness, in the machine, it needs to be thrown out, call Graco for a replacement.

REMOVING COVER COSCO ALPHA OMEGA ELITE

The straps need to be removed from the metal clip in back, and then the plastic grommets must be pried loose from under the fabric with side pressure and an upward push. Its not easy. Bad design. There are no screws involved, but a standard screwdriver can help with the release. The oblong grommets have ridges that must be compressed to release.
