Hi, I was given a hand me down car seat with no manual. It is dirty and I see on the tag that it is washable. I cannot figure out how to get the cover all of the way off. This is the 3591404 p1 model. It is the one that is all in one that grows with your child. Any suggestions? Thanks so much for your help.
1. Remove the cover on the back upright (8 phillips screws).
2. Remove the white plastic clips that retain the brass clip holding the shoulder straps in place.
3. Pull the brass clips away slightly, then, turn them and push through the slot where the shoulder straps go through to the front of the car seat.
4. Pull the straps through the lower seat cushion slots.
5. Wash and reverse steps above to put back together.

Usually there are plastic caps that snap down over the bolt head. Shut toilet lid and get down close with a flashlight.
Seat attaches in two places. Reach underneath and you can feel two bolts with nuts. You don't need to see them, just feel with your hand.
The bolt head is covered with a plastic cover. The cover is added for aesthetic purpose only. Use small screwdriver or fingernail file or nail or scissors to pry up the cover and reveal bolt head.
Use bigger screwdriver to tighten bolts. You may have to keep one hand on underside to hold nut while turning bolt clockwise. Another trick is use hand to push bolt all the way up, and then finger tighten bolt most of the way, and use screwdriver for last few turns.
Tighten bolts good and tight, but don't overdo it. Bolts will come loose again and you can tighten more later.
Hi this is Sarah from Maclaren,
the seat of your quest is removable and washable by hand or machine, if you have other questions do not hesitate to contact our customer service: [email protected]
First remove the seat or carrycot/car seat if this is on the chassis. Then, stand to the left of the chassis. Push down the button on the handle which lowers the handle bar height with your right hand. With your left hand, take a hold of the black cuff on the side of the chassis (this should be about waist height). In one movement, you need to pull the left hand up, whilst pushing down your right hand, this needs to be done at the same time, and with some force.
When the chassis is lowered toward the floor, this will click shut. To open the chassis, there is a small metal arm on the left hand side of the chassis with a red cover on (this is quite little) you need to lift this button upwards (towards you) and the chassis will open.
they are trickey, to get manual, find make and model number then do a search on the makers web-site, they are req. to have it available free. but even most manuals are useless for what you are trying to do, just study it and figure it out. main thing with any baby seat is that it is properly installed and adjusted to the infant
Go to an upholstery for automotive. Plenty around.
Personally I just buy some nice fitting covers.
I once dismantled a seat my self and stitched it up.(Sewing machine on zig zag)
Putting it back is a trick with fastening with solid inner core of electrical wire and right kind of pliers. Choice is yours. In the end you still go for some good quality washable covers,.
