You need to clean out the dryer and the vent line, the air isn't moving like it should, there is a block some where and when it heats up hotter than it should it pops the thermal fuse,if you have a long run on the vent line blow it out with a leaf blower,go outside and make sure nothing is blocking the air flow, some outside vents have cages on them so animals can't climb into the vent line, good idea but now it's a lint catch, the air can't blow out and the thermal fuse pops or the dryer takes forever to dry clothes, then clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into and vac out the inside of dryer where the motor is,you shouldn't have any problems after that, clean it out at least once a year so this doesn't happen again and you won't have any dryer fires, hope this helps, good luck

Make sure the dryer isn't overloaded.
Check the vent line from the dryer to the outside of the dwelling for blockages, especially at any turns (elbows). Also check to see you aren't using too much corrogated flexible dryer piping to exhaust the dryer. This piping causes friction in the discharge line and also can trap lint. Use 4" metal stove pipe or 4" PVC pipe if possible (Note - PVC should be a minimum of "schedule 40" and should be connected after about 6-8 feet of metal pipe first. Don't glue the PVC pipe together or you can't take it apart again to clean it if needed. Use HVAC silver metal tape or duct tape instead at the joints.
Make sure the lint screen is kept clean.
If it still keeps happening, check the exhaust blower on the dryer. The back of the dryer will need to be removed to do this. Make sure the thermal fuse is correct for your dryer, is situated properly and that all connections are tight,
