Depends on the thermostat, they are available in 5 degree increments, usually ranging from 175-195 degrees. This is what determines the operating temp of the engine.

Depends on the thermostat that's in it Normal temp is 185 degrees newer trucks run higher so they run leaner and run at 200 degrees if it goes above 212 degrees the water can boil if the radiator cap is bad. The exhaust manifold will run about 650 to 750 degrees the catalytic converter should be about the same ans the exhaust and if it's working properly will be about 200 degrees higher on the back end if there is excessive fuel being burned. If you need to know the temp of the transmission let me know if it's a standard or automatic. Hope this helps. Thanks for using fix-ya

Run the engine, till you come to the average temperature, and stop the engine. Remove the negative battery wire & leave it for 1 minute & fix it back, to reset the ECU.
Clean the throttle body.

My chevy 1500 silverado has a knocking in the engine like the tappets r running dry with oil then it picks up sometimes then again it runs like that all day, whats wrong?

It sounds like a pcv valve or maybe a egr valve, or maybe even a burnt valve in the engine, cant really be sure without actually being there and seeing.

Hello on a 2003 chevy silverado pick up truck 4x4

A bad ground or wire somewhere is pulling current from your battery when it's not running. Use a test light, try to find a circuit that is hot when it shouldn't be. It will take some time and patience.
