Viewsonic sreen isn't displaying the picture

Hello,

This is a very common problem with this model after a few years of use. This problem is caused by a failure of the capacitors in the power supply board hat powers up the back lights in the monitor. When the back lights don't power up you get no display on the screen. I've been having the same problems with my Viewsonic.I plug it in and the blue light blinks but there's no picture it's just a black screen.I do know if Viewsonic doesn't repair my monitor I'll never buy anything from them again.I have the LCD Viewsonic 22' Vx2235wm monitor.
Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong with mine?I've bought a new video cable & video card but the monitor still does the same thing?Thanks

It is the picture picture board on your monitor that is malfunctioning, since the power led or button is on, but the display screen goes blank after a few seconds, it means the picture board of your monitor has developed fault.

The best thing for you to do now is to take the monitor to a local repairer within your vicinity or any service center to help with the replacement of the picture board because the fault is not something you can fix yourself, in order not to complicate issues.

THE 1000 UF CAP IN THE POWERSUPPLY IS BAD MOST OF THE VIEWSONICS HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM EATHER THE 1000 UF CAP GOES BAD
OR THE 470 UF CAP GOES BAD DEPENDING WHICH ONES YOU HAVE

Replace the entire DAC board (board with power suplly going into it) for easiest solution.

the t-con board need replacement( it is found on the top middle section of the lcd panel)

I think the problem is with the capacitor....you need to change the capacitor...

Are you able to see a slight image on it at dusk and maybe with the help of a flashlight. since your blue light stays on the video board, may be okay.
It sounds like you have bad capacitors on your powerboard or possibly a burned out transistor on the inverter.

Only way to really tell is to open it up.
If you unplug the screen to video board ribbon, you may notice a different effect in the screen lighting.
There is a chance one of your bulbs is creating a problem
Should the screen happen to light up all white, then your power board and inverter are okay and the problem may be in the video board.
If it looks pinkish or dark or flickers then the bulbs or a bulb may be the issue.
If it flashes on then goes off, it's in the power or inverter board.

MY VP930b has the same problem.
It takes a very long time (5-10 minutes) before it becomes normal.
