Download the software that worked with your previous OS
Right click on the webcam icon and click 'Properties'
Click the Compatibility tab
Check the box to run in CM and enter the OS in the dropbox
Click Apply and OK
You may need to check additional boxes under 'Settings' but that will be trial and error
Any feedback will be useful.

I got a new cimputer with windows 7, will my webcam work on it? Cann't find anything about windows 7, on instructions.

It should. Most webcams do not require any additional drivers or software. Just plug it in and see if Windows 7 sees it.

I got version vf-0040 webcam instant and i got windows 7 and when i go to install it its showing no drivers found where do i go to get drivers i need

I have had a good look around, there is no support for this model, all the links i tried are now dead, the last support was for XP anyway.
Try use a windows 7 driver for a more modern live cam model.
Good luck

Hi, ok so my creative web cam is probably 6 or 7 years old and there is nothing wrong with it and when i plug it in it says windows needs to install driver software for your unknown device???

You will need to install the drivers provided by Creative for your webcam. Assuming you no longer have the CD that came with the device, you must install the drivers from Creative:

Without your exact web cam and operating system, I can't locate the precise drivers for you. Also, with the web cam being 6 or 7 years old, depending on the model and again your operating system, it may or may not be compatible with your computer, if you have upgraded since last using it.

I have a presario c700. after installing windows 7, the web cam is not detectable. Why is that?

Because most of the companies have not yet released the drivers for win7. Anyways here is a driver with compatibility mode with your existing web cam possibly a bit efficiency of cam may decrease. Update the driver when its officially released.
