Vacuum sounds like an airplane after 1 year of use.

Bissell Powerforce vacuum has ended up with a very loud whining noise. Still picks up dirt - just sounds like an airplane. Belt has been changed and filter cleaned - still very loud and painfully noisy. Any advice?

The motor bearings are starting to fail most likely. You can diagnose the source of the noise by removing the brushroll and belt, could possibly be the brushroll bearings but if you still get the noise when the belt is off its the motor.

BISSELL powerforce helix silver piece fell out? 2191 not compact

It sounds like the small silver piece that fell out of your BISSELL Powerforce Helix may be the motor brush. The motor brush is a small, spring-loaded carbon block that makes contact with the motor to conduct electricity. If the motor brush falls out or is not installed correctly, it can cause the motor to make a loud, high-pitched noise.
To fix the problem, you should locate the motor brush and try to reinstall it. The motor brush is typically located near the motor on one or both sides of the vacuum. You may need to consult the user manual or contact BISSELL customer service for specific instructions on how to access and install the motor brush.
If the motor brush is damaged or missing, you may need to purchase a replacement motor brush from BISSELL or a vacuum repair shop. Once you have replaced the motor brush, the high-pitched noise should go away and the vacuum should operate normally.

Bissell heavy duty 9x cyclonic vacuum cleaner has loud noise when brush roller is turned on

Inspect the area around the brush roll. There may be something stuck somewhere in there. Remove the brush roll to see if the brush roll end caps will spin freely. If there is hair or debris restricting the brush roll may be causing noise.

6583 makes loud noise when its turned on

My first guess is there is something caught in the pickup wheel.
1. remove the belt cover to access the pickup wheel
2. remove strings and hair around the ends
3. if you can, remove the belt and see if the noise goes away when you turn it on, this will help to isolate the problem

No dirt is collecting in chamber and doesnt seem to be picking up

the hose is clogged. try sucking the dirt out with another vacuum (backward) If this doesnt work, you will have to disconnedt one or the other or both ends of the hose to remove the clog. this is a simple process.

Hello, I have the same model. And though it is three years old, starting from the last month, it does not clean anything anymore. Cannot even pick up one single thing from the floor. Every dirt gets stuck...

i know bissell vacuums are very cheap but they should last more than 3 years. there should be two parts to the dirt cup. remove the dirt cup and above it there should be a round plastic part. unscrew it and check that filter.
