I do not know how to program the code for my Sanyo dvd player..... I tried to hold down the dvd button til it blinks but that never happened , so how do I put in the code..... and also what is the code for these products to work together.
You don't hold down the DVD button; you need to hold down the MENU and mute buttons simultaneously for 2 secs. The LG owners manual doesn't seem to list a program code for Sanyo DVD players though, only Sanyo VCRs :(
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Most of the combo units are hit and miss on using entry level remotes, Learning remotes or high end remotes are you two best bets.
You can try these Sony Remote Sanyo VCR codes:046, 044, 035, 033, 038
Follow these steps to program the remote control.
Turn on the component to be programmed.
On the remote control, press and hold the SET button.
While holding the SET button, press and release the POWER button
Release the SET button.
Press the appropriate component button for the component being set up.
Using the number pad, enter the component's manufacturer code.
NOTE: If more than one code number is listed for the manufacturer, repeat the procedure, entering one code at a time until you find one that works.
Your universal remote would have seperate selection buttons for VCR and DVD. If you don't have a VCR button, use AUX. Try programming each function seperately - DVD code for your manufactirer on the DVD button and VCR code for your manufacturer on the VCR button.
the default for the rh7823w remote is to operate lg tvs. Popping out the batteries should reset the default. my manual saysto select a different tv hold down the tv power button, press the number buttons for the manufacturer code then release power button.
Try this through your Remote, it should automatically search & detect devices automatically without the need to know the codes.
USING CODE SEARCH FUNCTION If your TV, VCR, DVD, etc. does not respond after you have tried all the codes for your brand or if your brand is not listed, try searching for your codes by following the steps below. 1. Turn on the device you wish to program. 2. Press and hold CODE SEARCH/SETUP until the INDICATOR LIGHT lights, then release. 3. Press and release the device button for the device you are programming (TV, VCR, DVD, etc.). The INDICATOR LIGHT will blink once then remain lit. For AUX, press AUX then the device button you are assigning to AUX. 4. Press and release POWER until your device turns off. Wait at least 2 seconds between each time you press POWER. Important: You may have to press POWER up to 250 times. 5. When your device turns off press the ENTER/SAVE button. The INDICATOR LIGHT will go off.
I don't have a code book for you, but I can tell you how to program the RCR660 using the automatic programming feature.
Programming RCA model RCR660 (no code search button) While following these instructions, keep the following in mind: device = the component you wish to control with your remote (TV, DVD, VCR, etc.) DEVICE = the button labeled for the component you wish to program 1. Turn on the device you wish to program. 2. Turn off all other devices in the general vicinity. 2. Press and hold DEVICE 3. While holding DEVICE down, press ON/OFF and hold them both down until the LED turns on for that device. 4. Release both buttons. 5. Point the remote at the device, press and release PLAY and wait 5 seconds or until the LED stops flashing. 6. If the device does not turn off, then continue to press PLAY and wait the required interval (for a maximum of 20 times) until the device turns off. 7. When the device turns off, press REVERSE, wait two seconds and continue doing this until the device turns back on. 8. To finish programming, press and hold STOP until the LED turns off.
