Pull the dishwasher out. You may see the mechanism and possibly broken spring or other part. (possible it's just come apart. You may need to remove side panels to see this mechanism for the door (counter balance) .
open door and on door frame you will see a metal catch that the door hooks to pull its self closed and creates a seal. this catch sometimes needs to be adjusted by loosening 2 screws and moving forward most likely.
First you will need to remove all old adhesives. Fingernail polish remover will remove a lot, but silicone requires scraping, and cleaning with a nail file or such. Then use contact cement. Check the label to find one that is heat and moisture proof.
Your spring is hooked onto a cable to help ease the door down. It must have come loose. You'll have to open the door panel and panel under the dishwasher... and possibly have to pull the whole thing out to find the problem... only then can you tell if something is bent or broke.

a door spring or the linkage that goes to the door is loose or broken on one side. pull the dishwasher out of the cabinet partway so you can see the where the door hinges are. you should be able to see what the problem is. compare both sides, one will be ok the other will not be tied to the spring.
In order to release the latch mechanism you need to either get inside the door or you need to get to the top of the cabinet of the dishwasher. The screws that hold your dishwasher into the cabinet are up under the lip of the cabinet. The door may be in the way of getting a screwdriver in to get the screws out so that you could slide the dishwasher forward to see the latch on top of the case of the dishwasher. You might be able to get a right angel screwdriver into the space between the door and the cabinet and work those screws out. You may have to remove the bottom panel on the dishwasher and screw the legs up a bit in order to pull the dishwasher forward. If you get the dishwasher forward, you may have to disassemble the latch mechanism enough to get the door open. Then comes the problem of figuring out what caused the latch to stick. I hope this will help you resolve your immediate problem
Open the door and look up at the leading edge of the dishwasher..you should see two metal eyelets that may or may not need to be bent up or swung into position. Take two sheetrock screws and screw one into each eyelet up into the underneath of your countertop that will hold it in place
I use ge silicone clear sealant it is flexible adhesie that can handle water and heat

FIX:
1 Open dishwasher door
2 gently pull rubber seal away from dishwasher guide You do not have to remove the entire seal unless it is loose just keep pulling until you feel the seal staying on dishwasher
3 put a small amount of clear sealant on loose seal(side facing housing) and small amount on dishwasher guide ( dip your finger into water so that it does not stick to your finger)
4 press the seal into place on dishwasher housing
5 wipe excess with a damp cloth be sure you do not get any on seal side that faces dishwasher door
