This is a typical sign of a defective hard drive.Your hard drive might or might not be repairable, depending on the degree of damage. I would recommend that you use a live CD (such as this one: http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/download.html) to boot up your computer & run a hard disk diagnostic tool like HDD Regenerator. It might take several hours (sometimes days) to fix the damage. If this did not help, then you will have to replace the hard drive.
Try to load the sys in the recovery manager trough the F10 key and do a system restore to a date previous the update.
If that doesnt work than u have to load trough the safe mode trough F8 and do the sys restore.
If that doesnt work u will have to do a recovery on the sys.
Turn off the Windows update its no god use to ur sys
Re rob_a.sys and rob_v.sys - they were for your Pinnacle PCTV Pro TV capture card. There are updated versions that works with XP and if I remember right, you I suggested for you to search where you can find the updated versions, download and try it they will likewise work with Vista.
Re Canon PIXMA MP810 All-in-One - try deleting it in your Printers and Faxes. Thereafter pls try the "New/Add Hardware" in your Control Panel rather than the "Add a Printer".
