Push and hold the on/off switch. OR, Pull the AC plug and allow the battery to drain. If it is under warranty, return it or replace.

Did you try to pull out the battery and restart your phone? If not try it, if yes and it's still not working, you have to go to a service point to do the job for you.

I think the touch screen of your phone is faulty, may be you have to change it for it to work again.

I have a similar problem with my HTC Touch Pro. A hard reset didn't work either!

Is it a white screen??

I have the same problem essentially. The only thing I can do is pan left and right in map mode. I can't access any of the buttons that appear onscreen as the touch screens calibration (or something) seems wacked out. The only time the unit functions even remotely normal is if its *VERY* hot. Almost too hot to touch. Anyone have a solution?
