A Piece of Paper may be in there. Find out it by replacing Catridge. Off the printer switch, See inside, out the paper from tray. Then keep it one by one.On Printer

SOURCE: My Kodak ESP5 keeps saying

My esp 5 gave me this same message. I'm not an expert but here is what worked for me.

I turned off and disconnected both cables (usb and power) then reconnected and turned on.
At this point it still read paper jam, so I took ink cartridges out and paper out.
I then reinstalled ink cartridges and PULLED OUT THE PAPER TRAY to it's FULL capacity, added about 5 sheets of paper, and on the main menu I chose the allignment function and printed a test page and suddenly....no jam!
Hope this works for someone. For some reason pulling the tray all the way out cleared the "jam" message for me. Now if I could just get the new ink cart to work I'd be all set! Good Luck!

SOURCE: My Kodak ESP5 AiO printer has its print head stuck at its right.

Dear Sir/Ma'am,

• To resolve this issue remove the cartridges and then the printhead (Upon removing the cartridges look into the slot where the black cartridge fitted into. On the vertical wall at the back you will see two small contact points. Place your finger above those points on the black plastic and run your finger towards the top of the printhead. You will feel a little button and by pressing it , it will release the printhead.)
• Remove power
• Please now check for any objects or paper that might be obstructing the movement of the printer carriage - if any are found please remove them
• Wait 5-7 minutes
• Reinsert power
• Reinsert printhead (When inserting the Printhead please ensure that you hear it click into place)
• Then re-insert cartridges, black first then colour. Please also ensure that you hear them clip into place

Regards,
CViveiros

I keep getting a "paper jammed" message, but there

This error message is displayed by the printer when paper is jammed in one or more locations. In such a case, users are recommended to remove the jammed paper from the specified location. The entire paper path must be checked for any pieces of paper. To stop the message, open and close the top most cover of the printer. Lastly, verify the flags and the sensors. If the problem persists, the cause of the error message could be a broken sensor or sensor lever.

Printer paper is jammed. Is there a release?

is there a... what? you didnt provide additional information, and you left the question unfinished. is there a way to remove the paper? is there a solution? yes. the paper can be removed. but i dont have enough information.

Product summary The good: Improved photo quality over previous model; attractive design; large 3-inch LCD screen; easy-to-use Home Center software.
The bad: Poor quality build with several mechanical errors; average print speed; graphics quality still lacks definition.
The bottom line: The Kodak ESP5 is an attractive full color all-in-one printer, scanner, and copier, and casual photo enthusiasts will be happy with the watered-down editing software, but hard-core users should look elsewhere for a multifunction printer. The ESP5 is too expensive and suffers from too many mechanical deficiencies for us to give it our CNET stamp of approval.

you will continue to have these paper jams.

My esp5 all in one printer says there is an error a paper jam but there isnt one please help

1. Take out both the ink cartridges, wait for 5 seconds.
2. Take out the printhead, and close the printer access door
3. Take out the power cable without turning OFF the printer, and wait for 30 seconds.
4. Now connect the printer with the power cable, and turn ON the printer.
5. If the printer is giving an error” printhead missing”, now put the printhead back.
6. Closing of the printer access door brings up error message “missing cartridge.”
7. Insert both the ink cartridges into the printhead.
8. Close the printer access door, and wait until printer gets ready for printing.
9. Give a print command after loading paper in the upper tray.
